Traffic Calming
The purpose of this group is to help decide the "trouble spots" in the neighborhood in
terms of increased traffic cutting through the neighborhood, as well as areas that might be
unsafe for pedestrians due to either the high volume or speed of traffic. This groups works
closely with the City of Greenville's Traffic Engineering Office.
Traffic Calming Achievements:
After many years of hard work and determination, traffic calming measures have been
passed for Overbrook. These traffic calming measures (speed humps and landscaped
traffic islands) will soon help to make our streets safer.
The city's landscape architects are currently working to decide on the plantings for the new
islands. Thanks for your patience with the construction!
